Inspired by the croquembouche, the traditional French wedding cake. Instead of pastries, chocolate truffles were used and attached to the outside of a yellow butter cake filled and frosted with a dense, dark ganache.
Blue-fondant covered cake; piped in royal icing and painted with gold luster dust. Oval rococo frames foil-covered paper are attached to the tiers with royal icing, as are the ribbon bows. Metallic laces trim the tiers.
